Hi! I'm Sara,- Owner, Floral Artist, Lead Designer of Lavender & Leaf
My love for flowers is rooted in childhood, where many summer days were spent in my mother’s gardens- admiring and learning the name of each bloom as it arrived with the season, and in the spring- climbing the lilac tree outside our kitchen window, taking in the beauty and the intoxicating scent that still brings me back to my childhood to this day.
Flowers have always been tied to memory, emotion, and a deep sense of place for me -and over time, that love naturally grew into a passion for floral design.
After navigating the flower world for over 13 years working for retail shops and greenhouses, the vision for Lavender & Leaf was born around a desire to create intentional designs with a romantic and natural feel, inspired by the season, and grounded in sustainable practices that honor both the environment and the love stories we’re helping to tell.
Backed by an amazing team of fellow flower lovers & artists, we design for weddings and celebrations throughout the Hudson Valley
Our Sustainable Practices
We're passionate about preserving the Earth for our little ones and future generations; implementing sustainable practices in all parts of the business- from growing and creating, to breakdown & cleanup after each event.
We prioritize using locally grown flowers, sourcing most of our blooms from small farms right here in the Hudson Valley. and love seeking out the most unique, seasonal, and organically grown flowers for our designs.
